Korean Tutor in Auckland

As a native Korean speaker with a deep passion for education and culture, I am excited to help students in New Zealand achieve their language learning goals.

I understand that learning a new language can be challenging, but I believe it should also be an exciting and rewarding journey. My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive, interactive, and immersive environment. I tailor my lessons to meet each student's unique needs, whether they are absolute beginners wanting to learn Hangul, K-pop/K-drama fans eager to understand their favorite media, or professionals seeking business Korean.

Through my lessons, students will not only master Korean grammar and vocabulary but also gain a rich understanding of Korean culture, etiquette, and real-life expressions used by locals.

I am patient, encouraging, and adaptable to all age groups and learning paces. I am fully prepared to share the beauty of the Korean language with the New Zealand community.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your language journey.

Warm regards,

Frequently Asked Questions

How easy is it to learn Korean in Auckland?

Learning Korean in Auckland is surprisingly easy and highly accessible

Is Korean easy to learn?

Hangul (The Alphabet) is a Masterpiece: Unlike English, where "cough," "rough," and "through" all sound different, Korean is entirely phonetic. It was deliberately invented in 1443 by King Sejong to be as easy as possible. The shapes of the consonants even mimic the shape of your mouth and tongue when you say them. Most people can learn to read and write Hangul in just two to three hours.

No Gendered Words or Articles: There are no masculine or feminine nouns (like in French or Spanish), and there are no articles like "a," "an," or "the."

No Conjugation by Person: The verb stays the same whether I am doing it, you are doing it, or they are doing it.

Loanwords: Thanks to "Konglish" (Korean-English), you already know hundreds of words. For example: 컴퓨터 (keom-pyu-teo = computer), 커피 (keo-pi = coffee), and 아이스크림 (a-i-seu-keu-rim = ice cream).
