Hi! I'm Elaine, a tutor from Malaysia offering Japanese and Mandarin lessons, as well as casual Cantonese conversation practice.
I've been teaching Japanese and Mandarin since 2021 and have taught over 40 students of different ages and backgrounds. My lessons are patient, structured, and adjusted according to each student's learning pace and goals.

📚 Japanese & Mandarin
Online lessons: RM90/hour
Face-to-face lessons are also available from RM100/hour + transportation fee.
Suitable for children (age 8+), teenagers, and adults, including complete beginners.

Lessons can focus on:
• Structured textbook learning
• Everyday conversation
• Vocabulary and reading
• JLPT preparation (Japanese N5–N3)
• Lessons customized to individual learning goals

For beginners, I usually recommend weekly lessons at the beginning to build a consistent learning routine.

🗣️ Casual Cantonese Conversation
RM60/hour
Casual Cantonese sessions are for learners who want to practise everyday speaking and build confidence through relaxed conversation.
Please note that the RM60 rate applies to casual Cantonese conversation only. It does not apply to Japanese or Mandarin lessons.

Available at selected locations including Sri Petaling / OUG, Mid Valley / Pearl Point, Puchong, and Shah Alam (Seksyen 26).
Transportation fees vary depending on location. Please check with me for availability.

My friend and I joined Elaine through the trial classes in the past 2 weeks Elaine is a very nice and patient teacher, she has conducted the class with fun and interactive ways by using jam-boards, homework and etc We are both both beginners and Elaine managed to teach and guide us through almost all of the hiragana within 4 classes! Including writing, reading and the pronunciations. Not only that, we’ve also learnt some basic greetings and almost 120 nouns within the sessions from Elaine As working adults, we had some adhoc conflicting meetings with the classes and Elaine was very considerate about this, she’ll move the sessions earlier for us which we are very grateful about this. Will definitely recommend anyone to join Elaine for learning Japanese! Can’t wait for the future sessions with her!

I would like to give a shout-out here to my teacher, Elaine who's always committed to our Chinese lesson each week. Elaine has always been so patient in teaching someone who knows nothing about Chinese language like me. She would prepare me with adequate materials beforehand and always ready to answer each questions I ask although they are not in our materials. She is tutoring my autistic 22 year old. Heart of gold. I told her my aim is for my daughter to take up the subject without stressing it on an academic level. My brief was simple - I would appreciate a downtime of half hour at the end each session for them to chat about Japanese lifestyle, anime - anything to do with Japanese culture. These are modern times and she needs to learn it the fun way. Elaine picked my cue and my daughter has been growing and making the effort to learn. When given homework, there were times when my daughter was lazy. Instead of reprimanding her, Elaine has a way to encourage her to focus back on the studies and drawing her back to her responsibility. One thing I like (and this isn't by my request) - Elaine texts me the girl's progress after every session, what has been taught and her response during the online session. Makes the parent super happy, and I see the glee in the daughter's eyes when learning.

Elaine is a wonderful tutor. We had many sessions with her at our home while visiting KL. She instantly bonded with my 6- and 4-year-old children.
