Hello,
I’m Shiki, a Japanese language teacher.
I am a patient, kind, and dedicated certified Japanese teacher with 16 years of teaching experience. I strive to make my lessons both fun and engaging. Whether you prefer structured learning or a more relaxed, conversational style, I can tailor the lesson to suit your needs.
Don’t worry if you find Japanese difficult—I will support you step by step as you improve your skills.
I have taught Japanese in Japan and overseas at language schools, a university, a software company, and through private lessons. I have experience teaching students of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
In addition to regular lessons, I offer JLPT preparation, business Japanese, free conversation, and lessons based on news topics.
If you would like to improve your speaking skills, I would be happy to help—please feel free to try a free conversation lesson!
I primarily offer online lessons, which are available from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM (Japan Standard Time).
Group lessons are also available, so if you would like to study with friends or family, please feel free to contact me for more details, including pricing.
I teach not only students living in Japan but also many learners from overseas. If you have any questions about payment or other details, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
For those who prefer in-person lessons, I am available at a café in Tenjin, Fukuoka, between 9:00 AM and 6:30 PM.
Please note that the student is kindly requested to cover the cost of beverages for both the teacher and themselves at the café.
For travelers visiting Fukuoka or those staying temporarily, I offer intensive short-term courses (1–2 months) based mainly on in-person café lessons in Tenjin.
Pair lessons are also available, so please feel free to inquire if you have any requests.
Private Lessons
Online lessons (9:00–22:00 JST): ¥4,000/60 min
Café lessons (9:00–18:30 JST): ¥4,000/60 min
I look forward to seeing you soon!
No, it isn't.
But most Japanese language schools offer classes in Japanese only.
So complete beginners need to find a school that teaches Japanese in English or a private teacher who speaks English or learner's native language.
I think it will take about the same amount of time as in other areas.
It depends on the motivation of the learners and their ability to find the right teacher.
