Ciao! If you're dreaming of speaking Italian fluently and effortlessly, I'm here to be your trusted guide on this incredible linguistic voyage. I'm Maria-Blanca, your Italian tutor who has experienced firsthand the challenges that the Italian language might pose to foreigners.
Experience
With over 10 years of living and schooling in Italy, I have had the chance to navigate all aspects of the Italian language. With a high school diploma in Classics, I have enhanced my mastery of the Italian language through translations from Ancient Greek and Latin into Italian. My love for languages extends beyond Italian. I am fluent in Romanian (my native language) and English and I have also learned French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese. My multilingual expertise equips me to recognize and address potential linguistic biases you might encounter as you venture into Italian and therefore tailor my instruction to your unique needs. Last but not least, as part of a project promoting integration in Italy, I have ventured into introducing young migrants to the Italian culture and language.
Teaching Approach
As far as my teaching approach is concerned, I believe that every learner is unique, and I'll customize our lessons to suit your learning style, pace, and objectives.
-Cultural Insights: With a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, I will bring a deep understanding of cultural nuances to our lessons. You'll not only learn the language but also gain insights into Italy's rich culture and society.
-Flexible Approach: From my own experience, I've learned that a multifaceted approach is a key to mastering Italian, encompassing speaking, listening, reading, writing, transcribing, and more.
-Learning Materials: In our lessons, we'll use a variety of materials tailored to your needs, including textbooks, online resources, and authentic Italian content. You'll have access to a well-rounded learning experience.
Are you ready to embrace Italian with a tutor who knows the language inside out, from both a learner's and a teacher's perspective?
Learning Romanian can vary in difficulty, according to your linguistic background. Usually, speakers of Neo-Latin languages encounter fewer difficulties, because of the similarities between Romanian and the other Neo-Latin languages both in vocabulary and grammar. One of the most challenging aspects of the language is the grammar but once you understand its rules and logical structure, the road is downhill.
It is easier to learn a language while living in the country where it is spoken, because it facilitates the full-immersion approach. Living in Warsaw, you may not have as many opportunities for immersion in Romanian compared to being in Romania or Moldova themselves, but there is a Romanian community which is growing, and with it the chances to speak with a native Romanian speaker. Also, I am aware of the presence of the Institute of Romanian Culture which can be a great place to encounter native speakers. As long as you have someone that supports you in your learning journey, you can learn Romanian and become fluent even in Warsaw.
