Ciao a tutti, mi chiamo Simona sono una tutor di italiano and I’m so excited to help you dive into the Italian language.
I’m originally from Basilicata—a beautiful, rugged region of Southern Italy—but my curiosity led me to explore many places. I earned my degree in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (specializing in Arabic and Hebrew) from the University of Naples 'L'Orientale', and completed a specialization in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language at Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

I spent years living in places like Rome, Tunis, England, Germany, and Spain. I speak English, French, and Spanish fluently, which allows me to understand exactly the challenges you are facing.
Over the years, I’ve worked with students of all ages— from Australia to Singapore, the USA to Chile, and Saudi Arabia to all of Europe. Whether you’re cramming for a formal exam, need to sharpen your Italian for work, or just want to connect more deeply with our art, food and culture of the Bel Paese, I’m here to guide you.
I love focusing on real-life conversations about things you actually care about, so you can start feeling confident right away. I’ll provide you with all the custom materials you need, but more importantly, I’ll tell you about the 'real' Italian—the slang, the nuances, the accents and the traditions that make our culture so vibrant.
Don't worry about the scary grammar! We’ll tackle those pronouns and conjugations together through total immersion and, most importantly, a touch of irony.
