(Only available for ONLINE Lessons!)I have over 30 years of experience teaching in schools, institutes, associations, Italian Institute of Culture, and private tuition. I am a former European Union Manager, who worked in Southern and Eastern Europe for 18 years before settling down in Singapore. MBA, Classical Studies, Humanities, passion for teaching. I taught Italian, but also Spanish, Latin, Ancient Greek for 32 years with different institutions, schools, and universities both in Rome, Belgrade, Tirana, and Singapore. In Singapore I am the only Italian who is PA - L2D Language Trainer, and qualified Educator for MOE; I used to teach for the Italian Institute of Culture before it closed, and I organize with the government and Italian institutions cultural and linguistic events. For sure I am among the 3/4 most qualified and experienced Italian teachers in Singapore if you are looking for a professional (but also fun) approach. I have a monthly activity with the National Library Board, lectures for Asian Civilizations Museum, co-curricular activities in the most important educational institutes in Singapore, and a group for promotion of Italy, The Italian Quarter/FABItalia, which performed from 2018 till now and next 2021 in the multicultural event Singapore Chingay with a contingent of 46 passionate lovers of Italy. I am quite a renown reference by the community of people passionate about Italy. In around 10 years, I already had more than 600 students in Singapore only, and special mention by the Italian Institute of Culture. Not only a linguist speaking 9 languages and promoting Italy (I launched the first "The Italian Quarter Festa", and the first "Italian Sagra"), I am also a renowned Chef who wrote for BBC GoodFood for Italian Cuisine for 4 years and work as a Private Chef as well. I am a consultant for language, food, culture, for several companies. With me, you are fully immersed in the Italian language and culture: you are basically in Italy, you will learn a lot and will not get bored. I have a very rich library and didactic texts for my students, from professional to general ones, and adopt the most modern methodologies. I wrote two textbooks as well for important language schools. I have different fees depending on the level, the frequency, the availability, and the liability of the student. You choose me because you want to learn Italian well, professionally, and having fun too. I prefer students to come to my house, where you can enjoy tutoroo proposed fees, an educational corner for tuition with whiteboard, table, and chairs, and educational material and textbooks. I can move to students' venue, however the student should understand I spend time and money for transportation for his/her own comfort, therefore if I have to move the fee should consider it. However depending on the student, frequency, location, regular tuition, commitment, and other considerations. Two more rules in order to respect my profession and your study: if for any reason you cancel your class within 4 days prior to the date, please consider it done, as I might not have time to allot your slot to another student, after dedicating it appositely for you. I also ask a deposit of four lessons in advance, which I take note. Once done, the deposit is renewed covering another 4 lessons. Thanks for your understanding.
Italian is considered among the easier languages to learn, but this refers to European language speakers, especially for Neo-Latin languages. For most of Asian speakers it can be a challenge. It has conjugations, gender, number, and articles, which need deep explanation for people speaking languages with different structures. However it has a 30% words similar to English, as for its Latin origin, and has a lot of interesting fields where it can be spoken, like food, wine, arts, opera, culture, fun, making it an easier way to learn it! And going to Italy and meet with fun crazy Italians, with their fascinating charm and activities involving you, is a good way to learn it easier too! The only way to learn it better and faster is with a motivational teacher who can show you the many ways Italy, and Italian, can make you happier upon learning it.
There are a few school teaching in Singapore, none of them with long experience in it since the Italian Institute of Culture closed forever at the end of 2017. There are more free lancer teachers, but only a few offer qualification and experience in teaching. There is some available material online like YouTube or internet, not much more in terms of original version books, however the student must rely on the educational material and books of an experienced teacher, and his/her ability to involve the student in this charming language.
