Native Italian Tutor | Learn the Language & Culture

Ciao!

I'm a native Italian speaker with an international background and a genuine passion for languages, cultures, and meeting people from around the world. Over the past few years, I've lived, studied, and worked in different European countries, which has given me first-hand experience of what it's like to learn a new language and adapt to a different culture. That's one of the reasons I decided to teach Italian: I'd love to help others discover not only the language, but also the culture, traditions, and way of life that make Italy so unique.

I hold an LL.B. in International and European Law and an LL.M. from Uppsala University. Alongside Italian, I speak fluent English, advanced Spanish, intermediate French, and basic German. Learning these languages has taught me that every student is different, so I tailor each lesson to your goals, whether you're learning Italian for travel, work, university, exams, or simply for the joy of it.

I believe the best way to learn a language is by using it in a relaxed and encouraging environment. My lessons combine conversation, grammar, pronunciation, and practical vocabulary, helping you build confidence from the very beginning. Italian is often considered one of the easiest languages for English speakers to learn, thanks to its clear pronunciation and logical grammar, and with consistency, you'll be surprised by how quickly you can make progress.

Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to improve your fluency, I'd be happy to support you throughout your learning journey.

A presto!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it difficult to learn Italian in Helsinki?

While you may not hear Italian as often in everyday life, regular practice with a native speaker can make a big difference. The key is consistency: speaking, listening, and using the language in real-life situations as much as possible. With motivation and the right guidance, you can make steady progress wherever you live.

How much time does it take to learn Italian in Helsinki?

The time it takes to learn Italian depends more on your motivation, consistency, and practice than on where you live. Many students start having simple conversations within a few months, while reaching a confident conversational level typically takes around 6 to 12 months of regular study.
