Private Indonesian Tutor in Jakarta and Online
I am a native speaker from the U.S (Texas) and recently, I have passed an online CELTA course that was run by TBI in Jakarta, Indonesia. This has allowed me to understand how to use the various tools needed for online teaching. At the completion of the course, I found that my strengths are in teaching receptive skills, helping students with their exercises and staging lessons in a logical way. I have also learned a great deal about the constraints and problems associated with language learning, as well as the anatomy of the English language. Currently I am a teacher in EF Cipete
I am bilingual; I have been speaking both English and Indonesian since I was a toddler. In addition to that, I have studied other languages as a teenager and an adult such as Chinese, Japanese and Spanish. I have also lived in the United States for four years, where I studied broadcast journalism. I believe that my life experiences have given me a good understanding of the intricacies of the English language, as well as the viewpoint of a language learner.
