Dear Expats. I'm Dinar, female, 25 years old. I work full-time for a mining company in North Jakarta. I am fluent in English and passionate about teaching. I'm experienced teaching kids Indonesian (also public speaking) since 2017 and now offer private classes for adult ex-pats.
My face-to-face will be held on every weekend, in the Jakarta area only. We can have our class in any convenient place for you. I'll help you speak casually or professionally (depending on your need) and write in Indonesian, based on the Indonesian general writing guidelines. Indonesian will be easier to learn by practice. We won't get bored since I love to chat and am open to various topics.
I'd love to invite you to the trial class for free anytime we are both available. I'll give you some questionnaires to understand your learning style and discuss what kind of learning atmosphere you're comfortable with. Your comfort in learning is my priority.
So what are you waiting for? Please kindly contact me. I'm excited to hear from you soon! Thank you
Don't worry. Indonesian is easy, even if we compare it to other Asian languages. It uses the Latin alphabet so you do not have to learn a new writing system. Also, the pronunciation is consistent. Its grammatical structure is very simple. Tenses are important but not everything, especially if you just want to communicate casually with others.
If you dedicate 15 hours a week to studying, you'll probably be fluent in just over a year, but it depends on your goals anyway. To be able to hold basic conversations casually, we just need more or less than 16 meetings.
