ONLINE CLASSES ONLY - Hello, my name is Ade and I am an Indonesian language teacher with more than 15 years of experience under my belt.
I am currently based in Bali, Indonesia, and only available to teach ONLINE.
My former clients include foreign journalists in Jakarta, members of the Australian Army at their base in Australia, University of Queensland (Australia), and many more (offline and online). I have received outstanding feedback for my teaching methods as well as for my creativity in delivering the lessons. Not only do I teach language skills to my students but I integrate cultural knowledge in my classes as well.
I also work as a freelance journalist/writer, editor, translator, and digital storyteller. Over the years, I have produced various works for world-class media organisations including Reuters, South China Morning Post, BBC, ABC Australia, Jakarta Globe, Rappler, etc.
I consider myself a good communicator, easy going, open minded, well travelled for both work and pleasure, adventurous, and creative. My passions include yoga and meditation, fitness, film, crafts, and cookery.
I look forward to welcoming you all in my classes!
The easiest way to learn Indonesian in Jakarta is by listening and talking to the locals. Sit in a 'warung' and chat to the owners and other customers, or to passersby. You can start a conversation simply by saying hello to them, practice using words that you know, and soon you will find yourself speaking like a local!
Having been teaching Indonesian for many years, I have heard many of my students say, "Indonesian is a fairly easy language to learn!" or "Compared to Indonesian, English is so much harder to learn with all those different types of tenses."
