Hi! My name is Abel, I am originally from Bali/Jakarta. I did my undergrad at King's College London and I'm currently working in PR/Comms. I have loved to teach since I was young, I used to volunteer to teach English to orphans. When I resided in Indonesia, I taught working professionals how to learn basic conversational level Indonesian as well as advanced speaking skills to deal with clients in a formal, business setting. Is it difficult to learn Indonesian in City of London?
Not at all. Lessons can be done remotely and scheduled around the students' time. I am also always here to answer any questions from my students :) I find that my previous clients and students become more fluent when they use Indonesian regularly, I would encourage them to do this by practicing it with me regularly in simple conversations.
How much time does it take to learn Indonesian in City of London?
I would say the students would need 6 months of bi-weekly lessons in order to fluently master basic speaking skills. Indonesian is relatively easy and straightforward, my international friends (German, French, American, Arabs, etc.) mentioned that it's very easy to remember the verbs! with a little help from watching some fun Indonesian movies as well as catchy Indonesian songs, my students would be fluent in no time.
