Hi, my name is Anna and I'm from Budapest, Hungary. I've been working as an English and a Hungarian teacher for over 8 years now, mainly working with adults. My philosophy is to mix traditional and modern methods, I use a coursebook(MagyarOk) to give structures to the lessons and I supplement the book with my own communicative worksheets. In my experience during the learning process all areas are extremely important(speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, etc.) so I make sure we develop at least two or three of those skills in a class. I also give homework and send online activities/games so my students get plenty of exercise outside of the lessons as well.

Great Hungarian Teacher / Tutor!!! I cannot say enough good things about Anna. With Zoom lessons, she helped me from zero Hungarian skills to an B1 level in two years. I first contracted with her to help me with my Hungarian citizenship interview preparation. Before I worked with her, I was concerned that I would ever get to this level, but with her help I did it. Anna is rare because she fully understands Hungarian grammar and can clearly explain why and how this unique language works. Her English is also better than most native speakers, thus she understands why certain concepts are difficult. I cannot say enough good things about Anna. Excellent tutor! Anna takes her time and teaches in a systematic manner and meets the student where they are in learning the language. She gives weekly homework out to further practice what was taught in the previous lesson.
