Bilingual English and Greek Tutor for Online Lessons

Hi I'm Mary and I was born in Sydney Australia, however my first language was actually Greek! Being a natural bilingual speaker of English and Greek, I have a love for languages and can easily explain concepts to you in a simple way.

I am passionate about helping others become confident speaking Greek and keeping thousands of years of Greek culture and history alive. I have a love of the Greek language and culture and have travelled to Greece several times and will continue to do so as much as possible!

I have 5 years experience in tutoring students of all ages from 6 to adult, however my youngest student was my own daughter who was speaking fluent Greek by the age of 3.

I studied Greek throughout high school and at university. A natural high achiever, I finished in top 10 in the state for 3 Unit (extension) Greek and achieved a UAI (ATAR equivalent) over 95%.

My sessions
Each lesson is personalised to your needs - whether it's help for your child's school homework, learning Greek from scratch, to improve your conversation skills to speak to relatives or friends, or learn some Greek to travel. I'm extremely patient and I move at your pace so learning never becomes overwhelming or tiresome.

I focus on the areas of conversation, reading, comprehension and writing with quizzes and follow up exercises to ensure information is retained.

Most of all I think learning Greek should be fun! I use a number of resources online to make the sessions more interactive and interesting:
-Video conference as basis of the session using Google Meet (it's simple to use, no logins or set up is required)

-Educational videos
-Educational games
-Digital whiteboard
