Hi there! I'm Isabella and I have a passion for language and culture. I'm from South Africa; attended a German international school in grades 5 to 12 and have 4 years' worth of experience in tutoring German as a foreign language. I love working with kids, writing, and expanding my range of abilities, skills, and strengths.
I began learning German in grade 5 and immediately took to it, achieving multiple annual awards and my B2 language certificate by the time I completed grade 12. I have found that the recipe for success in language learning is comfort in the basics, consistent focus, and practice. Confidence is also key!
My students' improvement is of utmost priority, and I take care to understand their specific and unique needs and techniques. I believe language is a big (if not the biggest) advantage to have in the world, and altogether increases one's mental capacity and aptitude.
German is one of the most in-demand languages, with a large global corporate existence. The doors that this language opens are many, and the opportunities are endless!

Is English easy to learn?
While German does not necessarily have that many rules, there are always exceptions that tend to catch students off-guard. To start one's learning with the knowledge of, and lots of practice, these rules and methods makes the journey much easier. Thereafter, vocabulary!
How much time does it take to learn English in Toronto?
Depending on the weekly hours put in, fluency in German can be obtained between a year and 3 years.
