Hallo! I’m a native German speaker from Germany who recently moved to Ireland. I have a background in psychology and many years of experience working with people in educational settings, including several years as a classroom teacher.
I enjoy helping people discover that German is not nearly as scary as it first appears. Yes, German has some long words and a few grammar rules that look intimidating at first — but once you understand the logic behind the language, it becomes much easier and even fun.
My lessons focus on real conversation, practical vocabulary, and understanding how the language actually works. Whether you want to improve your speaking skills, prepare for exams, or simply learn German for travel, work, or curiosity, I adapt the lessons to your goals.

What is the easiest way to learn German in Cork?
The easiest way to learn German is simple: practise with a native speaker and don’t be afraid of sounding a little ridiculous at the beginning. Everyone does.
In my lessons we focus on real communication, useful vocabulary and understanding how German actually works. Think of it less like memorising endless grammar rules and more like unlocking the logic behind the language.
Also, I promise to explain why Germans love putting five words together to create one extremely long word.
Is German easy to learn?
German looks scary at first because of the grammar and the famously long words. But the good news is that German is actually very logical once you understand the patterns.
Many students are surprised how much German they already recognise because English and German share many similar words. And once you can confidently say words like Krankenhaus or Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung, you will feel like a linguistic superhero.
I can also teach you how Germans survive winter with bread, potatoes and very efficient grammar.
