Hi there, my name is Elena and I moved to Cape Town in 2022. Still having horrible school experiences when it came to learning languages in mind, I will make sure that it is enjoyable and with ease - focusing on a good German conversational level with some exercises in between depending on your needs. :-) Languages are about speaking them, that's how you learn them the best which I found out myself by living in various countries abroad. This depends on which other languages you speak but it will definitely be a nice challenge - speaking Afrikaans or Dutch helps.
How much time does it take to learn German in Cape Town?
Since German is not spoken a lot here, I would say longer than if you were living in Germany of course. But it all depends on the effort you put in :-)
