Bonjour, I’m Olivier, a native French tutor and language coach based in Bangkok, dedicated to helping adults learn French with confidence, depth, and genuine pleasure.
Before teaching full time, I built an international career in film directing, production, and communication. This background shaped the way I teach today: for me, learning a language is not only about memorising grammar or vocabulary, but about learning how to express yourself naturally, understand cultural nuance, and feel at ease in real conversations.
I work exclusively with adults, and I take a highly personalised approach to every learner I accompany. Rather than applying the same method to everyone, I pay close attention to your personality, current level, natural strengths, rhythm of learning, and personal interests. This allows me to create lessons that feel both effective and genuinely engaging.
Whether you are:
a complete beginner,
a professional who wants to communicate more comfortably in French,
a learner preparing for exams such as the DELF or TCF Canada,
or simply someone who wants to build fluency in a thoughtful and enjoyable way,
I design each class around what suits you best.
My students often mention my patience, clarity, adaptability, and sense of humour. Just as importantly, they often say that they feel comfortable with me very quickly - and that comfort matters. I believe real progress happens when you feel supported enough to try, speak, hesitate, ask questions, and make mistakes without pressure.
My role is not only to correct you, but to guide, encourage, and coach you toward a more confident relationship with the French language. I aim to create lessons that are structured yet natural, serious yet enjoyable, and always anchored in real communication.
If you are looking for a French tutor who combines professionalism, cultural sensitivity, personalised guidance, and a human approach, I would be delighted to meet you.
"For English speakers, French grammar and core vocabulary are surprisingly accessible—about 30% to 40% of English words come from French! The real key isn't rules; it's mastering pronunciation, rhythm, and cultural context."
"It’s actually a great environment. Away from academic pressures in France, you can focus on tailored executive learning, mastering French posture, culture, and media presence at your own pace."
