French and English teacher (French-American dual citizen)

I am a French-American dual citizen with a business background (BA degrees from France and the UK) and a travel and music addict. I grew up in France but have traveled regularly to the United States since I was five. I also speak Mandarin at a decent level, having studied the language since 2005, and lived in China for about 6 years.

I taught English and French there for around five years and have recently returned to teaching, both online and face-to-face. I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, from complete beginners to upper-intermediate level, in several 1 on 1 private schools, and also taught some groups.

I can teach a wide range of skills upon request, including pronunciation, grammar, conversation practice, homework support, exam preparation, interview preparation, etc.

I aim to make my classes both engaging and rigorous, usually following a textbook while keeping lessons lively. I prefer an old-school, human approach to teaching, while also integrating modern technology when it adds value.

I especially enjoy using mnemonic techniques (which I use myself when learning languages), as well as comic books, songs, and YouTube videos. I always adapt lesson content to my students’ interests.

I keep detailed notes for every class using Google Sheets, making it easy to track progress and follow up from one lesson to the next.

I am mostly searching for online students, but can also teach face to face, for now in Taiwan, and in France in the coming summer.
