I have been living in Hong Kong for about ten years. I speak German, Spanish, and some Mandarin. I am an accomplished piano player (also with some teaching experience), and I can obviously help with all kinds of homework in French (along with English, needless to say)! Apart from that I train in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, I frequently go on long hikes, and I visited over a hundred countries. I lived in France where I was born, the USA and the UK where I started to work, Japan, and Singapore, and found some stability here in Hong Kong.

It is not, unless one is fully immersed.
Is it difficult to learn French in Hong Kong?
I would think that it is the same outside any French speaking country. You can just copy and replace.
