(ONLINE LESSONS ONLY) Salut, I'm Maxime! I've been studying French for 12 years now and teaching the language since January 2023. I have studied French up to a University level equivalent to DELF/DALF B2/C1 and have been told by French friends that my pronunciation is near-native.
I love the French language and the intricacies of its grammar and as someone who has lots of experience with learning French as a native English speaker, I know what usually trips up other Anglophones. I have a strong interest in Linguistics as well and take great pleasure in explaining the reasons why certain language features are the way they are!
I have no experience teaching GCSEs or A-levels and would prefer to teach adults.
French is easy enough to learn the basics of, it's the details that usually trip people up. The most important thing is to immerse yourself in the language and gain practical experience!
French is one of the most similar languages to English and so takes a comparatively small amount of time to learn to fluency, but that doesn't mean you can be fluent without effort. The time to near-mother-tongue fluency can take anywhere upwards from 2 years.
