I have a great French tutoring experience. I taught French at the WEA center (Adults Learning Centre) in Adelaide. I used to be an SSO (school bilingual assistant) in a primary school.
I run a French playgroup for 5 years at the Alliance Française.
I’ve been given private french classes for all age groups (adults and children from 2 years old) for 9 years. On-site or online.
I’ve got a specific Montessori certification to teach French to children as well as the OML certification.
I also did a CAVILAM (Alliance française France) Mooc certification to teach French to adults.
Exactly as it takes time to learn how to walk, it takes time to learn a language. But it’s really easier when you take regular lessons and do a bit of homework to refresh and consolidate what you’ve learned in the class.
The key is to speak, even if there are a few mistakes, which is the perfect axis to improve your French language skills.
Take regular French classes, get involved in what you learn and spend a bit of extra time to do homework between each class.
Ask questions when you don’t understand something.
And I think the key is a lot repetition and the re-use of words/expressions all the time.
