Hello, my name is James, from sunny Arizona USA. The English language is easier to learn when the lessons are fun and interesting. I taught music to high school students and I teach English privately and in small groups.

Although I teach all aspects of English, such as Grammar, Writing, and Vocabulary, my specialty and strengths are Speech and Reading. I find speech and reading to be fundamental to all other areas of language learning. If you think about it, as young children we learned speech first before going to school. Then, we added the other areas of the language with reading as the second pillar.

I teach English to adults and children, online and in-person. I teach individually and in small groups. Also, I host an English club in my city which is a great benefit for the community -- and we really have a lot of fun.

A good way to strengthen your English skills is by listening to songs where the lyrics are clear to understand. Also, American movies and television shows with English subtitles are helpful also. Of course the foundational way is with a tutor who can design lessons just for you based on your goals, strengths, and weaknesses. Remember… if you are having fun then your brain learns more effectively.
