Hello! My name is Amy. I am a native English speaker from the United States. I have TEFL Certification and several years of experience with tutoring online. I got a Bachelor’s degree in English (language and literature) in the U.S. and also earned a master’s degree in Library and Information Science. However, I gained that degree just as libraries all across the U.S. were closing because of the Covid-19 pandemic. That was when I earned my TEFL certification and began tutoring students online, working with a variety of ages. I’ve tutored both native and non-native English speakers on grammar, writing, and speaking in English.

As an American living in Italy and learning Italian, I understand first-hand how challenging it can be to learn a new language. I believe that the most important factors it takes are time and practice and, of course, the knowledge that everyone learns in their own way.
