I was born in Abu Dhabi and studied at Abu Dhabi International School (where I got my English-Arabic translation certificate), and New English School in Jordan, and finally York University in Canada.
I was taught English at a young age, which I used primarily for conversation, yes more than Arabic haha. My parents are Iraqi originally but my father lived in the UK.
English is very easy to learn and read if you can tolerate that there are a lot of words that are pronounced differently than they are written.
