Hi Friends. My name is Bradley. I come from South Africa and I have been living in Taipei for six years. I have nearly 40 years work experience and I have been involved in teaching many different things in that time. I have been teaching adult, young learners and online English in Taipei for two years with Global Village Organisation, one and a half years with LiveABC (online classes - young leaners and adults - including business English), and two years actual classes with Gjun English. I have experience in guiding students for IELTS, TOEIC AND GEPT. I enjoy conversational English and especially to talk about current events and events that have shaped the world, etc.
I have a degree in Theology (BTh) and have spent over 15 years ministering in various churches in South Africa. I love teaching, just as I love learning. I am interested in reading about Theology and Philosophy, taking and editing photographs, and playing and teaching the guitar. So, I want to encourage all students to see learning as an adventure to make progress, to go forward and reach your goal or goals.
As I have worked in the church for many years, I believe that the best way that people learn is to have someone who is kind, gentle, who respects others and is interested in the progress and future success of people, to teach them. How easy is it to learn English in Taipei?
The easiest and best way to learn English is to have input and output. What I mean by this is that a student of English needs to have a teacher who can give the student the needed information, from the basics to the advanced and for the student to have the freedom and confidence to practice the English language.
Is it difficult to learn English in Taipei?
No, English is not easy as it is a learned skill. As such it requires a set out process - a start (basics) to Higher Levels (Intermediate - Advanced). The process part is the difficult part because it requires lots of guided practice (just like a person learning to play the piano, violin, or guitar). It is important for any student to be seriously committed to their studies and they will achieve the desired results through their hard work.
