Learn English through Understanding-based approaches

I am a graduated full-time tutor specialising in secondary and post-secondary education. I have tutored for more than 8 years, in both private home settings and tuition centres. These students (PSLE & O Level included) have scored As and Bs for their respective graduation exams last year


I'm well-equipped to teach, having been trained in both language studies, and also educational psychology. (Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics & Multilingual Studies, Minor in Education Studies from NIE, Minor in Fine Arts (Photography) from ADM)

Having taught many students from varying backgrounds and performances, I teach with a focus on the understanding of various concepts, as opposed to pure, rote memorisation.
This allows students to learn more easily and quickly, and are able to score better by applying the concepts they have internalised.
When teaching, I also assess students’ learning abilities and adjust my pace and methods accordingly, adding personal aids such as notes, mind maps, or charts as necessary.

I took Triple Pure Sciences in Secondary, and also was in the Science Stream in JC, consistently topping my class for academics in Junior College. Having managed 9 ‘O’ level subjects along with being a strong leader in my CCAs in both Secondary and JC, I believe I can help students cope with the learning workloads with varying learning approaches.
