I am Sofya. I am originally from Armenia but live in Italy.To be human and always ready to support people who need it. For me life is a chain of wonderful discoveries and experiences. Every day I try to learn something new, find something unique, and come to a new way of thinking. Most of all I value human communication, which I consider the most interesting, useful, fulfilling and fascinating experience.I am a very active, creative and positive person:) I like to enjoy my leisure with my friends by doing our best to make our life uniquely interesting. Everyone, who knows me, always says that I can communicate with any kind of people, irrespective of their character.
I stand for peace, tolerance and freedom; I believe in love, compassion and human kindness. I am ambitious, determined, hard-working, supportive person, study-oriented, passionate towards learning, discovering , research and self-sufficient. In general I amoptimistic, and I do believe that collective work and efforts of the people can make our world better.Have a strong power of will and is always ready to meet any challenge on your way. Result oriented approach and perfect managerial abilities help you to create a strong team with precise goals and full understanding of what is needed to be done, Believe in yourself and build your future based on your dreams.I love working with people! They inspire me and my goal is to inspire them. I am a dedicated educator concerned by empowerment and development. I focus on a broad spectrum of topics including teaching, human rights, peace education, peace-building, conflict transformation/resolution /management, human trafficking, gender based-violence, discrimination, women's rights, intercultural learning. I worked with young people and children since 2009. I was organizing different English camps, language courses for children, as well as I work with young people as a tutor. I have worked mostly internationally with young people in Council of Europe members and Euro-Med states, but I have organised local youth initiatives too, and not only with young people. I have successfully designed and implemented several international and local initiatives, and I have attended one evaluation meeting of a CoE youth project. I am the Education and Advocacy Officer as well as an in-house trainer in NFE and foreign languages. I design non-formal educational programs. I got a Bachelor degree of Interpretation and linguistic department and Master degree from linguistic and teaching department from the Armenian Linguistic University of Yerevan, in Armenia.
Through my youth work, I gained knowledge on teaching, human rights, awareness of contemporary human rights issues and dilemmas and ability to lead a debate over these issues, capacity to speak against human rights violation and how to advocate for human rights, knowledge on human rights education; improved competencies and knowledge of conflict transformation process, conflict management, conflict analysis, and peacebuilding; competencies in intercultural dialogue and intercultural learning competencies such as tolerance of ambiguity and empathy; and competencies in non-formal education and youth work such as development of network and partnerships, project management, facilitation in the work with young people. And all these using and practice English language.

These experiences have been extremely relevant for my work for the following reasons. First, they have given me the necessary exposure to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies indispensable for my work. Secondly, I thrive in multicultural settings, which is why I gained a significant amount of experience at the international level. Thirdly, I really enjoy working with young people. They inspire me, and through my work, I hope to inspire them too. Finally, my experiences have given me the opportunity to learn more about my work, to evolve in the field and to progress. To share, to learn, to discover, to support each other and to build together, that's what I love to create and to be part of!
