I am a qualified teacher from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, with a passion for helping students grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals. I hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree, as well as a PGCE specialising in Social Sciences (Grades 7-9) and Life Orientation (Grades 10-12), and a Level 5 (168 hours) TEFL Diploma.
I have one year of teaching experience, and I enjoy creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I have experience working with learners of different ages and abilities, and I always aim to make lessons engaging, interactive, and easy to understand.
I believe that learning English can be enjoyable when lessons are adapted to each student’s needs and interests. My teaching style focuses on patience, clear explanations, and building strong communication skills through practice and conversation. Whether you want to improve your grammar, speaking, reading, or writing skills, I will help you step by step.
English may seem challenging at first, but with regular practice and guidance, it becomes much easier over time. The easiest way to learn English is through consistent speaking, listening, reading, and using the language in everyday situations. Every student learns at a different pace, but with dedication and the right support, noticeable improvement can happen within a few months. My goal is to help students feel confident, motivated, and proud of their progress.
English can be easy to learn when you practice consistently and learn in a supportive environment. With patience, regular speaking practice, and lessons suited to your level, you can improve your confidence and communication skills step by step.
The time it takes to learn English depends on your current level, how often you practice, and your learning goals. Most students can improve their conversational English within 6–12 months of consistent study and practice, while advanced fluency may take 1–3 years. Regular speaking, listening, reading, and writing practice can help you learn much faster. Living in an English-speaking environment like Port Elizabeth can also improve your progress because you have more opportunities to use English in daily life.
