Private English Tutor in Phuket and Online
I am an experienced ESL teacher specialising in IELTS preparation and Business English. I have 4 years of experience in this role, with a further 6 years working within the school sector as a teacher and a therapist. My students have so far been able to achieve a minimum of 6 on average in their IELTs following either intensive training or a slower pace of training that focuses on each separate skill you need for the exam. English is my mother language as a British-born national so I enjoy teaching the culture of how to enjoy the most of your experience in the UK.

Is it difficult to learn English in Phuket?
Not at all. If anything it is easier, there are enough opportunities to practice, with foreigners and locals also. English is easier in practice so have a conversation as often as possible. I welcome it as long as the conversation starts with a smile.
How much time does it take to learn English in Phuket?
The length of time depends on your dedication in your own time. If you can apply additional time speaking outside of lessons this hastens the process. Something that could take years could be shortened to months. I have student who practiced once a week with me for an hour a week and this took a year for the visible difference in her speaking. While another student had 3 hours a week and did a lot of work outside of lessons and the visible differences started after 3-4 months. So anything is possible.
