Hi there! My name is Jordan. I grew up in the United States (Minnesota, Washington DC, California, and North Carolina are some of the places I've called home). I have been living in France for over seven years now. I came to Paris to study at Sciences Po where I received my MA in environmental policy. I work as a consultant, and on the side, I am happy to help people connect with my native language and learn to express themselves confidently and clearly.
I have taught English in Egypt and in France. I have experience in crafting lessons for groups as well as curating lessons for individuals based on their specific needs. Whether you are looking for an introduction to conversation, building new vocabulary, or mastering complex grammar, I will help you get there.
As someone who learned French later on in life and is still working to perfect my accent and vocabulary, I'm particularly receptive to the challenges of learning English. I have much left to learn and enjoy the process of teaching.
Speaking with anglophones in a relationship, at work, or socially, reading books, enjoying movies, listening to music with English lyrics, or writing about things that you love.
Yes. France is a country proud of its history and culture. There is little incentive to exceed the minimum level required. (I can't complain, it's the same in the US!) But the world is a big place, and there is much to learn and experience. English is a multi-use key to unlock many of those experiences.
