I will teach you English skills in a fun and engaging way!

My professional background is in music production. I fell in love with music through writing lyrics, serving as a testament to my passion for language and communication. Now, I love to bring my passion to the classroom and teach others the intricacies of English.

I started my teaching journey as a trainer for non-English national recruits at my previous two job positions. To begin with, the task was challenging because there was a clear language barrier between us. Soon, however, I became accustomed to this type of interaction and it made me realise how privileged I am to have English as my mother tongue. It also made me develop huge respect for anyone who learns English as a foreign language, making me set a personal challenge to learn a foreign language myself. I chose Russian and have since achieved A2 level in Russian and German. I thoroughly enjoy learning languages.

After spending some time learning, and realising I had a natural passion for all things language-related and training foreigners, I decided I would steer my career down a new path and pursue teaching English as a full-time prospect. In 2024, I signed up for an online TEFL (Teaching English to Foreign Learners) level 5 degree and passed with flying colours. I've since been teaching English to foreigners, and am looking to expand my horizons as much as possible.

I know what it's like to be a beginner at learning a foreign language, so I reassure my students that there's no pressure at all. The main focus is on getting to know each other, having fun, and developing language skills along the way.

My teaching method relies on getting to know each other in the first 1-2 lessons, and allowing me to gather an understanding of your current English skill levels (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening), as well as your language-learning goals. Then, I can adapt my teaching approach to suit your specific needs. I will check in with you weekly to see how you feel about your progress and the current teaching style. If you're unsatisfied, we can adjust things until they're right.
