Hi there!

I am a fully qualified ESL Teacher with over 5 years experience. I teach online and in person and I have a friendly and patient personality. I have a massive passion for sharing knowledge, meeting new people and my current goal is to travel the world while working online. In my spare time I write poetry, songs and love discussing philosophy or self development.

I am also 120 Hour TEFL Certified with experience teaching children and adults both in Australia and abroad. I am currently teaching students ranging from ages 6 to 50 at a range of different levels. I also have informal experience helping friends, family and students with job applications, assessments, spelling and other tasks.

My teaching style is efficient and flexible, depending on the students' needs. I use various resources to keep classes engaging, including assigning creative homework tasks. Overall, I mainly focus on supporting the student to feel safe so that they can increase their confidence over time.

My biggest strengths are teaching conversational English and grammar. I am naturally curious and enjoy encouraging students to practice speaking as much as possible. I also highly value communication and collaboration which includes giving/receiving regular feedback.

WORK HISTORY:

Agga Cara Monastery / Volunteer Teacher
June 2018 - July 2018, YANGON MYANMAR
Here I spent time teaching English to Burmese students ranging from ages 10-21. This included preparing classes on my own and alongside other volunteers focusing on improving grammar, listening, writing and speaking skills. I also created various learning materials for both the children and adults to use including quizzes, games and homework.

During this role I was working one on one both in person and online with adults to improve their English skills. My students ranged from various backgrounds and cultures with multiple objectives ranging from improving formal business communication to casual speaking skills.
