Hey! I’m a native English speaker doing my Master’s in Management in Lille. English has always come easily to me, and I actually enjoy explaining the weird quirks of the language, the grammar rules that don’t make sense, why we say things the way we do, all of it.
I’ve helped friends and younger students with English before, and what I’ve learned is that most people don’t need a strict “teacher” they need someone patient who makes them comfortable enough to actually speak, mess up, and try again without feeling judged. That’s the vibe I go for.
I scored 930 on the TOEIC, so if you’re prepping for that exam specifically, I can help with that too.
Lessons can be casual conversation practice, grammar help, prepping for an exam, or just building confidence to speak more naturally, whatever you need. I’m flexible with scheduling since I’m a student myself, so we can figure out times that work around your week.
If you want lessons that feel more like a chat with a friend than a classroom, I’d love to help!
Honestly it depends a lot on how much you practice speaking, not just studying grammar. Lille has a decent international crowd, so there are chances to hear and use English outside of lessons too, but consistent practice with someone one-on-one makes the biggest difference.
Really varies by person and how often you practice. With regular weekly sessions, most people start feeling more confident in conversations within a couple months, getting properly fluent takes longer, more like 6 months to a year, but it depends on where you’re starting from.
