Highly Qualified British Primary School Teacher

Hi! My name’s Aimee and I’m a highly qualified EDB NET scheme teacher, and I have recently finished teaching P1-6 students at a primary school on Hong Kong Island.
As someone who graduated in London with a First-Class Honours degree in Creative Writing, I have a passionate interest in literature and the English language and delight in teaching it. As well as my BA, I also obtained an MA in the same subject. In addition, I have a Cambridge English teaching certificate, as well as over 10 years of experience teaching both in the U.K and Hong Kong. As a result, I have experience with both the local and the British curricula and have taught both international and local students.
My work as a primary school teacher involved implementing the EDB curriculum to a diverse range of abilities through the teaching of phonics, oral lessons, shared reading and guided reading. I teach specific reading techniques to enhance students’ confidence and enjoyment and arm my students with the skills they need to become independent learners. I encourage students not only to speak, read and write English but to really take pleasure in doing so.
After many happy years teaching in Hong Kong, I am have now relocated to the U.K, where I will conduct my lessons online.
