I am a dedicated tutor specializing in teaching English and History to children with ADHD. With extensive experience teaching in multiple third-world countries such as Cambodia, Morocco, and Egypt, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique learning needs and challenges faced by these students.
Growing up in both Australia and the United Kingdom, I have had the opportunity to immerse myself in diverse cultures and educational systems. This has allowed me to adapt my teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of each student, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Having started my teaching journey at the young age of 16, I have accumulated years of practical experience and honed my skills in effectively engaging and motivating students with ADHD. I am passionate about creating personalized lesson plans that incorporate interactive and multisensory approaches, ensuring optimal learning outcomes.
In addition to my practical experience, I hold two bachelor's degrees from reputable universities in the United Kingdom. This academic background has provided me with a solid foundation in both learning and teaching, enabling me to deliver comprehensive and engaging lessons that foster a deep understanding of the subjects.
As a tutor, I am committed to empowering students with ADHD to reach their full potential academically and personally. I believe in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, valued, and motivated to excel.
If you are seeking a dedicated tutor who understands the unique needs of children with ADHD and has a wealth of experience teaching English and History, I am here to help your child thrive and succeed.
The most effective way to acquire English language skills in Hong Kong is to fully immerse oneself in the language through daily activities and interactions. However, it is crucial to first build the child's confidence in order to encourage active engagement with the language.
When working with children with ADHD, it is recommended to structure the tutoring sessions in shorter intervals to accommodate their attention span. I suggest dividing each session into 25 or 30-minute intervals, with a maximum of two back-to-back sessions. It is important to include at least a 10-minute break between sessions to allow the child to recharge and refocus before the next session. For optimal results, I would suggest a total of 2 hours per week.
