I grew up with English as my first language in school from prep school to university, Bengali at home, and Hindi with my school friends. I am also fluent in French and German, almost native level, and have a degree to teach French as a foreign language. I have taught English, French, and German as second and foreign languages in France and Switzerland.
English is easy to learn if you let go of the idea of speaking it perfectly like a native speaker. Unlike other languages, English is a global language and more welcoming to people who try to speak it clearly than trying to imitate native speakers. I can help you develop your pronunciation in speaking English by using my background in music and theatre. I can also help you with writing in English by using my skills as a reviewer of articles written in English and correcting essays written by international students at the university level.
The easiest way to learn English in Helsinki is to attend cultural events in English language associations like Finnbrit and Tiedekulma at the University of Helsinki. It is also possible to borrow books written in English for free.
Yes. English is easy to learn as it is relatively easy to find speakers to speak it. Also, there are loads of free resources to help you brush up your skills in speaking and writing.
