I am a teacher of English for IGCSE and ZIMSEC, specializing in English as a second language, English Language, and First Language English. I hold a Cambridge O-Level in First Language English and am 24 years old, residing in Herbert Chitepo, Harare CBD.
The learning materials I provide include past exam papers, a course book, and both digital and physical reading materials. Students are required to supply their own writing materials, such as a writing book, a comprehension book, pens, and pencils. Please note that prices differ for online and one-on-one lessons.
I believe that English is a relatively easy language to learn, especially through reading and writing. Once you master the rules, which are often simpler than those of many other languages, you can begin to create your own variations. Learning English requires patience and creativity, as communication in the language is often artistic and poetic.
With dedication, you can learn English in a relatively short time—about a year is usually sufficient for effective communication. The best way to learn is by understanding grammar rules, recognizing exceptions, and practicing through extensive reading and writing. Watching films with subtitles (which I can provide for you) is also an excellent way to become familiar with the language.
