As a native-English speaker and a native-New Yorker, I am excited to work with you to support your language goals. I have close to a decade worth of experience in academic research, teaching, and consulting. I hold a TEFL certification with a specialization in Business English. I have a Bachelors's and Masters's degree in History with Honors. My recent experience includes working in a university setting with non-native English speakers aged 18-65 to help them improve their listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. I believe learning and retaining a new language requires frequent use of it. Based on your interests and objectives, my dynamic teaching approach involves cultivating an empathetic space and weaving diverse learning materials like music, film, literature, poetry, current events, and visual media to encourage creative and authentic input.

As the lingua franca of the world and the saturation of the English language in music, arts, and culture, in some capacity, or another we're familiar with the English language. For this reason, I believe with practice and frequent use of the language, English is very easy to learn.
