Learn English Fast with Kristy in Cape Town

I’ve been teaching English as a second language for over 5 years now. I have been lucky enough to travel worldwide to teach English to a range of different ages and nationalities. I have a real love for teaching and seeing my students grammar, spelling and speech improve. Over the years I’ve been able to learn new and exciting ways of teaching and presenting topics, getting my TEFL certification was also helpful in achieving that. Having had the opportunity of teaching a range of students has allowed me to learn and develop my teaching styles, every student brings forward a different way of learning which is always a great challenge. My own educational background is diverse, I attended primary school in both Namibia and South Africa. My secondary school was done in Dubai where I did the MYP system which is for pre-International Baccalaureate students, I then graduated with the IB Diploma in 2014. In August of 2014, I moved to the Netherlands to gain my undergraduate degree which was a BSc in Governance, Economics and International Development. Starting from January 2018 I am hoping to start studying my PGCE to obtain my teaching certificate to formerly become a foundation phase teacher. My hobbies include art, literature, drama, running and yoga; I am both avid reader and runner. I have a keen interest in politics and I really find it important to keep up to date with current affairs.
