My experiences with English teaching

I have a TEFL certificate from Dublin and have Translation experience from German to English.
I also get pulled into informal teaching experiences when others ask me about correcting them whilst speaking.

English is a relatively easy language to learn but it still involves hard work and a lot of input as with all languages.
So :

Hi there ,

I was born and raised in South Africa and I am now living in Grindelwald, Switzerland.

As you may know, South Africa is rainbow nation meaning we are made up of many cultures trying to live as one nation.

At least thirty-five languages indigenous to South Africa are spoken in the Republic, ten of which are official languages of South Africa: IsiNdebele, Sesotho sa Leboa, Sesotho sa Borwa, SiSwati, Xitsonga, Setswana, Tshivenḓa, IsiXhosa, IsiZulu and Afrikaans. The eleventh official language is ENGLISH - the lingua franca, thus we all have mother tongue English.

Oxford English is taught in most schools in RSA.

I am currently unemployed and looking for suitable positions but thought about offering my services in helping you with your English skills in the mean time. Also to keep me busy 😁

I do find most have a good level of English in Switzerland it is just the fine tuning that has room for improvement but whatever your level, I can help you, at this point with:

Proof reading for errors such as " false friends" being used in verbal/written texts

Translations: German to English

Coffee-chats to practice your speaking skills,

Grammer if needed.

Colloquial versus business English usage

and if you advise me on your English needs, I will try assist.

I will only charge a hobby fee.
