My name is (Miss) Shannon, and I have been a passionate and dedicated educator for nearly 10 years - both in classrooms and online. I am currently a Primary Teacher in one of Bangkok's leading international schools, as well as a Private Online Tutor for both children and adults.

I offer carefully planned, individualised English courses for children and adults. Whether you are looking to develop you or your child's speaking/conversation, reading, grammar or phonics, I build each course to meet my individual students' specific needs and timeframes.

My passion is for helping each and every student to achieve their full potential, therefore positive relationships are integral to my sessions. I strive to ensure each student feels valued, celebrated and supported throughout their tutoring sessions, so that they always leave with a sense of achievement and an firm understanding of where they are going next.

Our lessons will take place on Zoom. Presentations will be screen shared and tasks will be completed in the lesson on live GoogleDrive documents. All course materials are shared with students so that these can be accessed at any time.

What is the easiest way to learn English in Bangkok?

World-class quality English teaching can differ from student to student.

With children, the use of high quality texts can be used to support spoken English, reading comprehension and writing compositional skills. Discreet Phonics lessons allow children to learn sounds and sight words, as well as develop the skills of blending (reading) and segmenting (spelling). While what each child's specific needs will vary, evidence shows that a combined approach to teaching English produces the most significant learning gains - and keeps learning engaging and exciting!

With adults, we will focus on your exact needs and preferences. This will likely involve conversation practice, online reading, spelling and grammar tasks, or a combination of both! This will be a collaborative learning process where we explore and work in the way that best suits you!

How much time does it take to learn English in Bangkok?

For children, I recommend at least 2x 1 hour lessons per week for the best outcome. However, this is dependent on many factors and can vary child-to-child. Some children may benefit from shorter, more regular tuition sessions e.g. 30 minutes.

For adults, I would recommend at least 2x 1 hour sessions per week.
