(ONLINE LESSONS ONLY) My native language is Chinese and I know how to learn this language easily. And I have been teaching Chinese in Ukraine for 3 years. Language is a way of thinking, what I'm doing is teaching people new ways of thinking.
I graduated from a Japanese university, so I am well aware of the influence of Chinese characters on Japan. And if you learn Chinese for a while, you will understand that Chinese characters are such characters. You can memorize the shape and then add something to change it to another meaning, but there is coherence to the content. That is to say, if you memorize one Chinese character, it is equivalent to memorizing many similar Chinese characters. Some of them have completely different meanings, but there must be a connection.
