I am a native Mandarin and English speaker. I have some basic teaching experience with children, mostly friends and family. I focus on teaching a strong foundation, especially with speaking intonation and Hanyu Pinyin (the official romanization system for Mandarin Chinese, using Latin letters and tone marks to spell out sounds). A strong foundation will give you an easier start with formal learning. Mandarin is not an easy language to start, but once you have mastered the basics, it will only get easier.
