Hi everyone! My name is Karen. I was born in Shanghai and raised in Hong Kong. I’ve been teaching Mandarin for over 5 years, and I have spent more than nine years studying in Australia and the United Kingdom. I graduated from a university in England with a degree in Interior Architecture.

I am a native speaker of Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and Shanghainese. My classes are tailored to meet the individual needs, goals, and skills of my students, depending on their work environment. Throughout my teaching experience, I have catered to various learning styles and approaches to meet the unique requirements of my students. Meanwhile, I'm flexible in teaching online and offline classes.

I firmly believe that consistent practice plays a pivotal role in fostering success. I offer both online and offline classes, ensuring flexibility and convenience for my students. The time it takes to learn Mandarin depends on your goals and the amount of time you dedicate to practice. Generally, achieving conversational fluency may take 6 months to 2 years with regular study, while becoming proficient in reading and writing can take longer.
