I am a Taiwanese girl currently studying in Hamburg, I grew up speaking Mandarin (Chinese)
We speak a slightly different dialect because we use traditional characters in Taiwan which may be more difficult for foreigners to learn first time, but it definitely has its charm!
The grammar for Mandarin is easy and there is a certain way of pattern you construct sentences but what is the most difficult for learners might be trying to learn the characters. The easiest way to learn I think is to frequently have conversations with native speakers around once a week.
