Private Chinese / Mandarin Tutor in Dubai and Online

Native Mandarin Chinese & Native Korean Teacher

Professional Summary
With over a decade of international experience as a foreign language educator, translator, and cultural consultant, I have built a career dedicated to connecting people through language, education, and cross-cultural understanding. Fluent in Korean, Chinese Mandarin, English, and Japanese, I have worked across the UAE, South Korea, China, Malaysia, and Taiwan, training professionals, guiding students, and supporting organizations in achieving effective global communication.
Since 2019, I have been based in Dubai as a freelance foreign language teacher, where I have conducted tailored Mandarin and Korean courses for over a hundred students from all Emirates. My clients include prestigious institutions such as DEWA Government, HSBC, Emirates NBD, and Hepworth P.M.E LLC, as well as students from Foremarke School and Safa Community School. In every class, I aim to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to connect language with culture, improving both fluency and confidence.
My work extends beyond traditional classrooms. I have collaborated with the Ministry of Culture & Youth and the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, leading creative language projects that introduced Korean and Japanese culture to young learners in the UAE. I have also provided customized private lessons for Sheikh family members, ensuring each program reflected their learning goals and interests. In 2021, I contributed to Expo 2020 Dubai as a translator for the China Pavilion, recording translations and audio greetings that represented cultural exchange on an international stage.
Before moving to Dubai, I built a strong foundation in education, translation, and cultural exchange in South Korea. As a Programmer Assistant and Simultaneous Interpreter at the Gwangju International Film Festival, I worked with global media partners such as China Central Television (CCTV) and interpreted for renowned directors, actors, and diplomats. I also gained corporate experience at DENBIO Dental Equipment Co., Ltd., supporting international trade operations between China and South Korea as a Senior Translator and Overseas Sales Assistant.
My earlier roles as an Assistant Manager for International Students at Sun Moon University and a Tour Guide and Interpreter for Adonis Tourism L.L.C in Dubai deepened my understanding of global communication and intercultural dynamics. These experiences helped me develop strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills — qualities that now guide my teaching and project management approach.
Throughout my career, I have been driven by one mission: to help people understand one another through language. I believe that communication is not only about words but about culture, empathy, and shared human experience. Whether teaching Mandarin tones, explaining Korean idioms, or translating for global events, I approach every task with professionalism, creativity, and respect for cultural diversity.
My international background, educational expertise, and genuine passion for connecting people make me a strong asset in any multicultural and educational environment. I continue to strive toward empowering others to communicate confidently and build meaningful bridges between cultures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it difficult to learn Korean in Dubai?

No, especially with proper guidance. The Korean alphabet, Hangeul, is logical and surprisingly easy to learn. It was scientifically designed to reflect how the mouth and tongue move when pronouncing sounds, making it intuitive even for beginners. With just 24 letters — 14 consonants and 10 vowels — learners can start reading and writing in just a few hours.
Hangeul’s block structure allows students to form syllables easily and recognize words quickly, giving them confidence early in their learning journey. Unlike other Asian languages that require memorizing hundreds of characters, Korean provides a clear and accessible foundation. With proper guidance and consistent practice, anyone can master reading and writing Hangeul and begin exploring the beauty of the Korean language and culture.

How much time does it take to learn Korean in Dubai?

With regular practice and proper guidance, students can usually gain basic conversational skills within 3 to 6 months. Learning speed depends on the learner’s dedication, study habits, and exposure to the language — such as watching K-dramas, listening to K-pop, or speaking with native speakers. With consistent effort, students can build a solid foundation in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, making everyday communication in Korean both achievable and enjoyable.
