Private Chinese / Mandarin Tutor in City of London and Online
Like you, I haven’t stopped learning languages myself. Naturally interested in language and culture, I have a master's degree in Linguistics from Hong Kong Baptist University and I’m fluent in 3.5 languages. (Mandarin, English, Cantonese, and 0.5 French lol).
From Mainland China, I called Hong Kong my home for 8 years and Singapore for a year. I have recently relocated to the UK, to Bath - this beautiful city. I run a boutique marketing agency for a living. I’m sure we share the same passion for language if you have come across this lengthy intro. I’m at Tutoroo to teach conversational Mandarin. I will teach in the way that I learn myself by chatting and making friends.
I’ll be there to encourage you and give you guidance when needed but mostly I’ll be chatting with you on the topics you like (business, leisure, travel, food, books, etc.). I believe that chatting with a real person who occasionally corrects you is the best way to practice any language. (Plus many hours of binge-watching TV series)

Is Chinese / Mandarin easy to learn?
No. But If you start to binge tons of Chinese TV series and chat with a mandarin speaking friend a.k.a me, I’m sure you can have massive progress in a short time.
How much time does it take to learn Chinese / Mandarin in City of London?
I think you could get around in a Mandarin speaking city fine after a year if you study and practice a lot.
