I am a Malaysian Chinese that love to learn languages. I have lived in Christchurch for more than 10 years. I grew up studying in Chinese school during my primary school years. Been speaking the language for as long as I can remember.
Chinese may comprised of a lot characters but they are all unique to themselves. For as far as I know, not a lot have multiple meanings. So when you learnt a word, it will only have 1 meaning most of the time. Which means less confusion. 😆
