* 20 years of freelance teaching, translation & interpretation, and cultural training (1-to-1, small group, classes in schools & corporate training)
* Advocate the "total immersion" method by speaking mostly in the target language, with the goal of (i) building your comfortability of listening to a foreign language and (ii) getting "fluency first"
* Good at customizing the learning for the student's needs;
* Also good at helping you to become an independent learner outside of class time
* I speak 8 languages: native in Cantonese, Mandarin, proficient in Shanghainese, and English, advanced in Italian (~B2) and Japanese (~JLPT N2), conversational in Spanish and German
* For Italian and Japanese, I am teaching only beginner level - I have a bit of informal teaching experience and have done some simple translation and transcription projects in both of these. For Japanese, I am good at teaching Kanji and conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cantonese easy to learn?
Any language is not too hard to reach a conversational level if you work on it, but to master a language, you will have to have strong intrinsic motivation, and diligence to practice daily, especially if you don't live in the country where the language is spoken.
Is it difficult to learn Cantonese in Venice?
Asian languages are hard for Westerners, and likewise, Western languages are not easy for Asians. However, I will give you a structure for learning systematically, lots of tips, and ways to find additional resources outside of our class time.
