Hi! I’m a passionate and friendly teacher with over 5 years of experience teaching in learning centers and international schools in Macau and Dubai. I’m fluent in English and Cantonese, and I hold a PGDE teaching license as well as a TEFL certification.
My teaching style is relaxed, engaging, and full of positive energy. I believe learning should feel enjoyable, not stressful—and yes, Cantonese is absolutely fun to learn! Whether you’re just starting or looking to build confidence, I’m here to make the journey clear, practical, and enjoyable.
Totally fair question, and the honest answer is: Cantonese can feel tricky at first, but it’s definitely learnable!
The tones might seem a bit scary in the beginning, but don’t worry — you don’t need to sound perfect on day one. We’ll take it step by step, with lots of practice, fun examples, and real-life phrases you can actually use.
Think of Cantonese like learning a new song: at first, the melody feels unfamiliar, but after a while, your ears start to catch it and your mouth starts to follow. So no stress — mistakes are part of the fun, and every small step counts.
Cantonese isn’t “too hard”, it’s just new. And we’ll make it fun!
Not at all 😊 learning Cantonese in Dubai is like finding dim sum in the desert: surprising, exciting, and totally possible!** 🥟☀️
Dubai is such an international city, so you’re already surrounded by different languages and cultures every day. That makes it a great place to train your language learning brain. You may not hear Cantonese everywhere like in Hong Kong or Macau, but with the right teacher, fun practice, and real-life phrases, Cantonese can come alive anywhere.
Think of it as your own little Cantonese adventure in the UAE:
one tone at a time, one phrase at a time, and soon you’ll be saying more than just “nei hou” with confidence.
